Inclusive teaching and training
Building an inclusive practice through sharing of knowledge and reflection among teachers, trainers, psychologists and management
About the course
This course focuses on including learners with special needs. There lays a great potential in inclusion at schools as this is where we learn for life, and the diversity at schools counteracts self-centeredness and segregation in society.
The course looks at competences to manage the class room and learning space, competences to manage the single relations to learners and others appreciatively, and didactical competences that respects the needs of each individual learner.
Furthermore the course assumes that a lot of knowledge already exists about good inclusive practice at the educational institutions, but what has to be strengthened are the concrete methods to share this knowledge, reflect upon practice, and innovate the pedagogical practice among teachers.
The course will give you…
- An insight into the social constructionist and appreciative understanding of the learner/student in difficulties rather than the difficult learner/student
- A chance to practice and reflect upon communicative and relational competences in single relations (with students, parents etc.)
- Inspiration to manage the class room and learning space in inclusive waysSkills in collegial coaching in order to share knowledge and challenges among colleagues and further develop common practice
- Skills in observing competences of colleagues and giving feed-forward
- Skills to facilitate team-meetings
The course fee for this four day course is 750 Euro, which can be almost fully covered by an Erasmus+ grant (plus travel and stay). Of course, our courses are open to anyone, also without Erasmus+ grants!
